Frequently Asked Questions

PYC is a group of progressive ministers and their churches who care about creating a meaningful community based on shared values. So to do that, we organize camp and retreats together for students and ministers, as well as sharing the curriculum we write. That's it!

Though Progressive Youth Collective was formed in 2025, our partner churches have been doing camp together since the 1970s under the name of Southwest Baptist Youth Camping Association (SWBYCA). We have planned camp and Mid-Winter together many times, and have generations of students to show for it!

Most importantly, we are a group of ministers who truly understand the problems and challenges that come with church int he 21st century. If you want to be a part of PYC but don't have the funds, we get it! We can most definitely work something out with you. All you need to do is contact us so we can see what we can do.
